Conflict Minerals Statement
Home > Conflict Minerals Statement
PowerShield Group is a New Zealand based manufacturer (OEM) established for the exclusive production of Battery Monitoring products. The PowerShield Group undertakes due diligence in an attempt to determine if conflict minerals are used in our products.
Conflict minerals are described as Gold (Au), Tantalum (Ta), Tungsten (W) and Tin (Sn) that are sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo or adjoining countries from mines controlled by non-governmental military groups.
As part of the quality management system process for supplier and original manufacturer review, our due diligence seeks direct confirmation that materials we purchase do not contain conflict minerals. Supplier and/or manufacturer declarations and policy statements regarding conflict minerals are also requested to determine that the full supply chain has been examined to confirm this.
PowerShield Group has reviewed their existing supply base, in particular suppliers of materials that contain Gold, Tantalum, Tungsten and Tin, and can confirm that there is no indication that any products manufactured by the PowerShield Group contain conflict minerals.
